Animals Poem Class 10 summary

The poet states that he wants to live in the animal world. Here we can say that the poet finds the animal world better than humans. He further states that he finds animals quieter than humans. He says this because animals are not walking after worldly things like humans. He is calm and has no greed for worldly things or achievements of any kind. They are self-contained which means that they are happy with life and never interfere in the lives of others. Human beings have a habit of interfering in the lives of others. Therefore, the poet thinks that it is better than man to keep animals calm and not to interfere in the affairs of others. The poet further states that this is why he stands still and watches animals for a very long time.

The poet states that unlike humans, animals do not complain of any misery. They never cry like humans do, to show what they have lost. They never wake up at night, weeping in remorse for their wrongdoings. This means that animals are different from humans because they do not show anger or grief if something is wrong with them. He further states that animals are very truthful because they never boast of their good deeds done in the name of God. He says this because most humans do it. They try to show others their good deeds and righteousness. They do this to gain popularity among their peers. so, The poet thinks that animals never bother him by doing such things to get some praise from his fellow people. He feels that animals are not as dissatisfied as humans. They are happy with whatever they have. They never run after worldly things. They never possess things of comfort or luxury. He says that none of them is crazy behind owning worldly things.

Here the poet says that he has never shown his devotion to an animal by bowing down in front of a person. They never do the same for their ancestors. They do not show devotion to God like humans do. None of them is more honorable or important as it is in human society. Among humans, rich people are generally given more importance and are treated with more respect than the poor. But in the animal society, They never do this. They never attach more or less importance to any other animal. Everyone is happy in the animal world. They are not like humans who find themselves the happiest or unhappiest person on earth. The poet further states that animals are more honest in showing their relationships with other animals. Here he wants to say that animals use other animals as their food and they never try to hide it. While humans show that they have good and friendly relationships with others, the reality is the opposite. The poet states that he accepts the fact that animals are true to their relationship with other animals. However the reality is to the contrary. The poet states that he accepts the fact that animals are true to their relationship with other animals. However the reality is to the contrary. The poet states that he accepts the fact that animals are true to their relationship with other animals.

So finally the poet introspects himself and says that from where animals have got those good qualities. He further questions himself, where have his good qualities gone? Did he leave them or carelessly lose them somewhere. The qualities which were found in humans in the past, such as innocence, kindness, truth are now seen in animals. He wonders if humans gave up these qualities and handed them over to animals.
