Dad and the Cat and the Tree Poem Summary

The poem is a comic depiction of the works of elders. The father proudly climbed the tree to save a cat. However, he became the subject of jokes for the audience. The plan follows in the poem. The poet successfully narrated a story in a comic and lyrical manner.
The poet speaks of an incident when a cat got stuck in a tree in his garden. The poet's father assured that he would do so. The tree is tall and soft, not very firm. The poet's mother warned him, but ignoring his warning, he climbed the ladder, slipped and fell.
She cleaned her face, hair, and clothes with the thought of trying again. To which Mother again questioned about their safety. The father ridiculed the mother and called it a strange joke.
However, when he bowed to himself, the branch broke and he again uttered with a udder sound. The mother again tried to intervene, saying that she could damage her neck. Dad had proceeded with the C plan, yet was sinful.
For him, the task was as easy as blinking. He bounced and climbed the garden wall again. This time he did not fall, instead he climbed the cat. The cat safely hit the ground.
Though it broke when Dad fell on him but now he was content to stay safe. It smiled, but Dad stuck on Ri, he wanted to be the cat's savior and became a laughingstock. In this way it became a comic poem.
