Fire Friend and Foe Summary

Fire Friend and Foe Summary

In earlier times, fire was a frightening thing. Early humans should experience electricity before knowing its origin. Fire is a result of a chemical reaction.

Where oxygen combines with carbon and hydrogen in a fuel. During this process, energy is released in the form of heat and light. There are fuel, oxygen and all three things that are necessary to make a fire.

The flashing or burning temperature of the fuel varies with each fuel. Agni is a good servant because it cooks food and gives warmth in winter. It is also a bad master because it damages everything and turns it to ashes if not used wisely.

Fuel can be kept out by stopping the supply of oxygen from the fire and removing the heat. A fire can be extinguished if there is no fuel to burn. Using a moist blanket or sack, carbon dioxide does not allow oxygen to reach the burning material.

If the temperature can be brought below the flashpoint, the fuel burns off.

Fire can be extinguished with carbon dioxide and not by water, such as fire and electrical equipment. Water can flow quickly, spreading the burning oil in the fire. An electronic fire can cause an electric shock to a person when water spills.

In olden times, people formed a human chain to drain water from ponds. But nowadays lakhs of rupees are spent on technological progress to overcome fire. A fire brigade is formed to take up the challenge.

They save lives with their skills and techniques. Every new building has to follow and observe fire prevention norms. Agni is a friend who cannot be abandoned if he turns into an enemy. Therefore, an attempt is made to take precautions with fire.
