Expert Detectives Summary
The opening lines are a conversation between Maya and Seven. Seven's real name was Nishad and was seven years old while Maya was a ten-year-old girl. There lived a person with suspicious activities.
They were eager to know about him. The person may be poor or badass in running. Nishad was apprehensive, but for Maya, he was the criminal with whom he hid the treasure.
They discussed her food habits and her work. Nishad strongly pointed out that he had a scar on his face.
One day Seven went to meet Mr. Nath with his mother and Maya went to spend time with her school friend. He was upset to see Mr. Nath's ill health. In the evening, Seven knocked on her door but she could not sneak into the trunk.
He gave her a chocolate bar. He then went to Ramesh, who brought food from the restaurant, which, in turn, informed him of his routine and special demand for food on Sunday as he was a visitor that day.
Shri Nath pays his meals which include chapatis, pulses and vegetables. Maya questioned her investigative instincts. She was arguing about the hoaxes of crooks. The next day, he took an unexpected break from school due to heavy rain. She sat down with a piece of paper.
He began writing in block letters in Catching a Crook 'Expert Detective. After writing for half an hour, she went to her brother, who was studying in bed. He asked her to listen to what he had written.
When he nodded, he talked about the listed facts that needed to be questioned by Mr. Nath, Nishad, he was not observant at all. He was sympathetic without his loneliness and friends.
When he spoke of the visitor being Mr. Nath's companion, Nishad reiterated that it was not like his idea. He spoke generously of giving tips to Ramesh. The narrator constantly accuses her of hiding and fidgeting.
Nishad said while constantly discussing about Shri Nath. He did not want Mr. Nath to fall prey to the circumstances that made him a recluse. This idea led to an argument and Nishad went out without surrendering the narrator's ideas.
