Santosh Yadav, the only woman in the world who has raised Mt. The bomb was twice in a thriving zamindar family of Jonivas, a small village in Rewari district of Everest, Haryana. Although Santosh was a bomb in a conservative society where sons are preferred over daughters, she was welcomed into the family as she was the sixth child and the only sister of five older brothers. When her mother was expecting a child, a holy man visited and blessed her to give birth to a son. But to her surprise, her grandmother said that she wanted a girl. The girl was bom and was named Santosh which means Santosh.

From the beginning, Santosh was of little rebellious authority and defined conventions. She neither liked wearing traditional dress nor following the traditional course of life. Although Santosh studied in a local village school for his early education, he decided to fight the system when the time came. And the right time came when she turned sixteen years old. Most of the girls in his village were married at the age of sixteen. When Santosh's parents also pressured him to do so, instead of parental pressure to get married early, he insisted on furthering his studies. Her parents had to give in to her desire to study in a high school in Delhi, followed by a higher education at Maharani College, Jaipur.

In Jaipur, she lived in the Kasturba hostel and could see the Aravalli hills from her room. Attracted by the villagers climbing these hills, one day he decided to investigate the route himself. There she met some climbers, who allowed her to join them and encouraged them to go for mountaineering.

After that there was no search for this determined girl. Before completing his college degree, Santhosh Yadav enrolled at the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi. As he finished his last semester in Jaipur, he had to go straight to the institute and did not have time to go home. Therefore, he wrote a letter to his father that he did not ask for his permission before joining the institute.

During this training, she would go on expeditions every year. His climbing skills matured rapidly. In addition, she developed a remarkable resistance to cold and altitude. Endowed with an iron will, physical endurance and an amazing mental fortitude, he proved himself again and again. In 1992, after training for four years, she became the youngest woman in the world to conquer Mt. Everest at age 22. His physical and mental strength affected his superiors, while he gave him

Less than a year after scaling Everest she received another invitation to repeat the feat from the Indo-Nepali Women's Campaign. She succeeded in scaling Mt. Everest once again. While hoisting the tricolor at the top of the world, Santosh felt indescribable pride as an Indian. It was indeed a spiritual moment for him. Showing extraordinary concern for the environment, he collected and brought about 500 kg of garbage from the Himalayas. The Government of India honored him with the Padma Shri for his unique mountaineering feats.
