The Bear Story Summary

An older woman lived on the outskirts of a large forest. Once he found a bear and kept it as a pet. The woman also fed the bear with the bottle.

After a few years, the bear developed into a large and powerful adult. However, he was a sociable bear who enjoyed grazing 'cattle'. The children also enjoyed playing with him.

The bear had a really good appetite. The cook made sure to feed the bear well. In addition, the bear's diet was devoid of meat and included potatoes, oatmeal, cabbage, bread, and turnips.

At an early age, the bear climbed apple trees. However, he came to know that it was not wise to climb apple trees. Later, he begins to wait patiently for an apple to fall to the ground.

The bear received a bee bite. This is because he was taught not to touch a bee. The punishment was that he was kept on-chain for two days instead of being on-chained only at night.

The woman used to visit her sister every Sunday. In addition, the sister's house was on the other side of the mountain lake. Since it was difficult to carry the bear through the forest, he was in chains on Sunday.

Once the old woman and her bear fell into the water. Later, the bear is patted by the mistress and is given an apple. Bear was ready to accept the decision

Once a bear was held in chains due to his mistress. After following her, the old woman walked through the forest. However, after some time, the woman came to notice that the bear was following her.

The woman did not like this defiance of the bear. Furthermore, the woman did not have time to take the bear home. The woman said in a very loud voice to the bear to return.

The bear was not willing to listen to him. In addition, he had also lost his new collar. As a result, she quickly came to the decision to sentence him.

The woman hit the bear using his parasol so strongly that it broke into two pieces. The bear went back but once again saw the woman. Finally, she lost sight of him.

Upon returning, the woman reprimands the bear and decides to chain the bear for two more days. However, Cook stated that the bear's behavior was like that of an angel. The woman then realized her mistake that there was someone else in the forest.
