The Cop and the Anthem Summary

Soap was a man who was homeless as well as unemployed. He was getting restless due to the signs of winter. These were signs that birds were heading south, trees were shedding leaves, and the men wished for new warm clothes.

These signs frightened him from the nearby winter. As if they had a desire for shelter during the winter period. He came to choose Blackwell Island Prison instead of elsewhere in the southern skies or the Bay of Naples.

Therapy then attempted to arrest himself. His first plan was to eat in a fine restaurant and then say that he had no money. Soapi thought that this would send him to Blackwell's prison for three months.

Keeping this plan in mind, Soap came to a restaurant, where only rich people used to come every evening. The head waiter saw Sopi's torn shoes and knocked him out. Therefore, his first attempt was unsuccessful.

Then Sopi came to another restaurant. After having dinner there, Sopia states that she does not have the money to pay. The waiter then threw him out instead of calling the policeman.

He had another idea to smash a glass window with stone. The therapy stopped when a policeman arrived. However, instead of arresting him, the policemen thought that the wrongdoers would not run away from the crime scene and hence they did not arrest Sopi.

Therapy led to another attempt for his arrest. This time he shouted in front of the theater like a drunkard. The policeman thought he was a college boy and so left him.

Therapy then saw a man buying a newspaper. He then came to the decision to steal it. Therapy then took the umbrella and the man followed her.

Therapy then asked him to call the policeman standing in a corner. The man refused to call the policeman as he had stolen the umbrella himself.

Soapi then gave up all hope of being arrested. He then stayed at his old childhood home. Then there was a sudden change in his soul.

At that moment, Therapy decided to change his life for the better. He decided to fight the challenges of life. Most notable, Soppy decided to find work from the next day.

Just then a soldier came there and asked Sopio what he was doing there. Soap starts arguing with him because of his newfound confidence. However, police took him and the judge sentenced him to three months in prison on Blackwell Island.
